Someone from the right recently tried to criticize by saying that the problem with liberals is that they think with their hearts, and not with their brains. That is a label that I welcome. In order to embrace the right wing agenda, one must first give up their heart and their soul.

My contention as to why the Republican party does not seem to be motivated to do anything to alleviate the Covid-19 pandemic is that it is playing into their agenda. Since most of the deaths are in the 65+ age range the pandemic is serving one of their main objectives, that being to reduce the cost of those "entitlements" of Social Security and Medicare. If they can just kill off enough of us leeches, then mission accomplished.

All along the choice has been their money, or our lives, and all supporters of the right have opted for the money side.
