Now THIS is the way to make America great again. I had about a day of anxiety at the beginning of the lock down era, but that quickly dissipated when I saw the viral poem by Kitty O’Meara

And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.

And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.

And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.

I thought that she had captured a new and developing consciousness. As I watched over the next days, and weeks I saw people not only dealing with it, but DEALING WITH IT! Learning new ways of being and learning to love life writ small. The great paradox of this social distancing is that it has brought us together.

Every day I see more of people joining together and creating a common consciousness that makes my heart sing. And every day I see the forces of evil desperately scrambling for purchase as the ground slips away from under them, knowing that the jig is up for them.
