I think that being a cheater is very much conditional on how easily one can slip into and out of relationships. I have no skill in that area, and have had long gaps between relationships. Other people I have known seem to be able to put on a new relationship as easily as they slip on new clothes, so if anything in their current relationship sours they can easily find a willing partner.
