I remember going to an ACA meeting many years back, and one of the speakers was talking about the carriers and the loads. Loads are attracted to the carriers for obvious reasons, and they have developed strategies to be able to worm their way into the affections of a carrier. Carriers, being who they are--you know, faithful, loyal, kind, etc--often have a very hard time dropping the load.
