I have a sister and a brother who didn’t have kids of their own and adopted, and another sister who had six kids of her own, and then adopted five more (all African-American, one boy and four sisters).

My siblings now have a total of nine adopted children, five of whom are currently in college, one who is now in the Navy, and the remaining two finishing high school and excelling academically. My siblings have done immeasurable good by adopting, and you will be doing the same.

Don’t sell yourself short. Heck, any woman in good health can pop out a bunch of kids, but it takes a real hero to raise someone else’s child better than the biological parents could. Congratulations on finally seeing the light that is at the end of the tunnel you have been blindly slogging through for too many years, and welcome to the best part of your life!
