I have a couple of sisters who are evangelicals. They, and most of the people they know, are firmly attached to all of the "conservative" feeds. It annoys me to no end how proud they are at describing themselves as "conservatives". There was time I could respect a true conservative, but the label has been entirely co-opted by the reactionaries who make up Trump's base and has lost all credibility to me. Their minds have been made up for them, and it almost seems like they have been vaccinated against (heaven forbid) integrating any data that has not come through one of those predigested feeds.
