An absolutely beautiful story about coming to terms with your past and moving beyond all those distractions that kept the love from shining through!
My mom did not nearly make it that long (71), but she would have been 93 this year had she lived, and I have a lot of other friends my/our age who are dealing with their aged parents as the end of life approaches.
My mother, in fact, largely sacrificed her own health and longevity caring for a mother who lived to be 97. It was not a “visit at the home” kind of care that she provided, but 24 hour home care for a bedridden stroke victim for the last few years, totally draining both physically and emotionally.
